One Year Later
So, here we are. One year later.
A) Bought a house. Just picked one off the shelf. It was slightly premature, though. Houses around me are selling at a good 70% of what I paid for mine, and while I did get a tax "bonus", I gotta pay it back over the next 15 years. Had I waited until Jan 1st? All that bonus would be mine to keep forever. Oh well.
I DO like it though. It just demands an awful lot of attention. Maintaining and furnishing appropriately is turning out to be much more expensive than I anticipated... and take far more work. It's one thing to think about how things happen, it's another to actually do them.
B) BUSY work. I'm quite fortunate to have a good job in this economy. Real good. I'm making LOTS of money, too, more than I thought I would before age 30, so it's hard to complain. So, without a legitimate claim to complain, I won't.
C) Life is just sort of slowing down. With all the hectic stuff going on, the ME time is diminishing quite a bit. When a year goes by and I don't have more than just a few weeks memories of Me Time there's something wrong.
Eh, why bother.
